The issue is not related to incomplete work from the project several months ago. Rather, the state of the sidewalk ramp at this location results from heavy trucks and buses cutting the corner too sharply and driving across a ramp that was designed to handle such weights.

Changes to the ramp at that location, as well as several others throughout Downtown Alpharetta, are being made as part of a federal grant to improve handicap accessibility within the community. We had planned to delay repairs at the subject location and simply make the full improvement; however, we were informed today that it could be another four months or more before the funding is released to us.
