water is flowing from fire hydrant on street behind 47 College st. where Congress and Washington meet.

You should have called this in because the city does not monitor this site every minute of the day.

While the City of New Haven owns and maintains its hydrants, the RWA investigated and found that the hydrant was not completely shut. We have done so, and the leak has stopped. Thank you for reporting the issue.
