The building is right across from St Andrews School (K-5). Little kids walk past the corner on the way to the playground. This is not something they need to see.
Correct procedure is usually the owner of property requests graffiti removal thru Public Works because they have to sign a form for permission, or the owner must remove.
4/17/2012 – Thank you so much for sharing your very important concern with the City of Richmond government. This situation with graffiti tag removal needed at 234 S Cherry Street has been formally reported to Richmond Grounds Management ( Request #20020831590 ) so that proper inspection and handling can take place accordingly. Also a Consent to Release for Graffiti Removal Form has been mailed to the property owner. No private property graffiti removal can begin until a Release Form is on file at City Hall.

The Graffiti is still there .... my understanding is that there are several more around the Fan and VCU. If the landlord does not respond in a timely manner to the request from the Neighborhood Association ... then What Next ?? This needs to be removed ASAP. It is on the left off the Downtown Expressway exit and across from an Elementary School. So what are the next steps to getting this removed ? Is this advertisement ??

Stop sign vandalized at corner of Cherry and Spring.
Stop sign says "to" instead of stop. And it's not the only one- but can't recall where others are.
