Description
The fire hydrant on Stevens st. Is stuck in the on position and has been turned off in the street. This has been the case for a very long time and has been confirmed by dpw crews when flushing pipes. Although they can turn the water on by finding the valve under the street and using a pole wrench it is clearly not the safest situation. This is the only hydrant in the neighborhood. Thank you.

I've sent this information over to the Chief's Office at QFD and asked that they look into the matter.

Do you suppose you could get a follow up about this? I know they are busy over there but it would be nice to know if it was slated for replacement.

The QFD is going to take another look at the problem and address whatever issues remain.
