Why does it take so long to fix a street? These curbs have been torn up for a long time. Seems like they start and leave and don't come back. A general contra tor fixing a home owner house can do this in a week.

These projects have a multitude of phases. This curb may remain out until any under ground work is done. Sometimes they will tear these items out and can leave them out for weeks to a month or two while completing items in the ground. In efforts of saving money as much as possible we would not want them to replace an item that will be tore out again in a short amount of time. Also, the work site can be in any phase of construction needed to complete the project as a whole.
