very deep pothole, beneath careless patch, of excavated roadway, adjacent to manhole cover. This hole is about ten inches across and more than one foot deep, in the center of the Eastbound lane.

A steel plate, with a raised border of asphalt was placed over the hole; is this a permanent "fix"? Two years ago, this section of road, between Winchester and Dixwell, was perfect, now it has been ruined by multiple excavations and shoddy patches.
