Thank you for using this application to report an issue to the City of Albany. According to city code (§313-47), property owners are responsible for keeping their properties maintained with regards to lawn and litter. DGS staff will inspect the property for any violations. If violations are found, the property owner will be notified and given ten business days to rectify any violations. After ten business days, DGS will re-inspect the property for compliance. If the property is still in violation, DGS will schedule a cleanup of the property and the owner will be billed. Please note that due to the high volume, these requests may take up to two weeks or more for DGS to clean.

The code 313-8 is code that states "Prior to placement for collection, all waste containers and waste stored in plastic bags for weekly pickup must be stored in areas away from front yards, sidewalks, or other public rights-of-way affecting the visual and aesthetic character of city streetscape."
