Description
While I commend the city for their attempts at ADA compliance on the sidewalks of Five Points, what we are left with is decidedly worse. Throughout the neighborhood are gravel filled trenches in what was formerly asphalt pavement. I have watched children on bicycles forced to go out into the streets, and mothers with baby carriages unable to get across the debris. This cannot possible be ADA compliant. I can only assume the city intends to repave these areas. Thank you

Forgive my lack of understanding of how this was “handled…”
Oh wait… perhaps my misunderstanding was due to the lack of information provided.
It’s been what, a month now, since the supposedly ADA compliant ramps were put in. Yet that corner looks unchanged to me. I am deeply sorry for the property owner in question. She spends more time and money on her yard than most of us in Five Points, and does not deserve the city’s negligent destruction of it.
