It’s almost like they don’t care about all the fines they must be getting…. So much accountability…

Thank you for using this application to report an issue to the City of Albany. According to city code (§313-47), property owners are responsible for keeping their properties maintained with regards to lawn and litter. DGS staff will inspect the property for any violations. If violations are found, the property owner will be notified and given ten business days to rectify any violations. After ten business days, DGS will re-inspect the property for compliance. If the property is still in violation, DGS will schedule a cleanup of the property and the owner will be billed. Please note that due to the high volume, these requests may take up to two weeks or more for DGS to clean.

DGS continues: "It may take us two weeks to get to these problems because we have handled them so poorly in the past that nobody obeys the trash ordinances, in fact, many don't even know they exist. Our mismanagement hasn't been addressed by anyone in power, so we'll keep doing what we are doing and you can live in filth until someone with actual managment experience makes us do something effective."
