Description
The signage for the school speed limits are confusing, not properly installed, and misleading as to when the 25 mph speed limit applies. There is a flashing light signal which is not activated throughout the time when it is photo-enforced. It should be on at all times that photo enforcement is possible. Additionally, after the photo enforced sign there is a sign at the Chick-fil-A which indicates the speed limit is only applicable when children are present, but does not provide any times or days when that might occur. Additionally, that sign probably violates the MUTCD as it is inconsistent with the earlier sing and is too short. The signage does not give proper warning to drivers and is misleading. If Bibb County intends to enforce the 25 mph zone during the entire day then the lights should be flashing the entire time, the signage should be consistent, and it should not be misleading.
