Description

We live at the corner of Townsend and Tuttle. Our sidewalks are high-traffic areas, particularly by families pushing strollers, seniors walking small dogs, and kids learning how to bicycle. Our sidewalks are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I've submitted previous requests to SeeClickFix to have the sidewalks replaced, and a couple of years ago, the City sent out a contractor from Massachusetts who made some temporary "repairs," which are now also breaking and exacerbating the problem. Last fall, when the City chose to replace the walks and curbs to the access roads between Townsend and Kneeland, I spoke with the contractor who said he'd told the City that he thought our sidewalks were in such bad shape that they should just do them at the same time, and that City told him that our sidewalks are scheduled to be replaced during the 2024 season. I want to make sure that our sidewalks are indeed on this year's schedule. This is a matter of public safety. Thank you.
