Person shoveling snow in the street after it was cleared by plows, this causes a danger to drivers. How thoughtless can you be! I believe this is also illegal.

First time trying this. Hopefully it works. This is from the city's website.
http://www.ecode360.com/MI1935
Chapter 262 Article 1 subsection 262-16.A.
"Plowing and throwing snow and ice into the street. No person shall plow, throw, put or cause to be thrown or put any snow or ice from any private property or from any area in the rear of said private property or in the area between a private dwelling house or structure and the legally laid out sidewalk into any public highway in the City."

And Dave, knowing the area, yeah they have plenty of space on either side of the driveway to throw their snow whichever house around the marker it is. I don't really think it's necessary to complain after the little amount of snow we got but it is technically illegal.
So is not cleaning snow off of the sidewalk in front of your house. There's a lot of violators to that policy in this city too. While looking up the code from the previous post I also read I found something interesting. If you don't clean your sidewalk after a storm you are personally liable for any injury caused by a person falling and getting hurt. that's 262-18.D. There's also a potential for a $50 fine although I'd be much more worried about the possible lawsuits. We live in a super litigious society.
