Let's see some fines

Thank you for using this application to report an issue to the City of Albany. According to city code (§313-47), property owners are responsible for keeping their properties maintained with regards to lawn and litter. DGS staff will inspect the property for any violations. If violations are found, the property owner will be notified and given ten business days to rectify any violations. After ten business days, DGS will re-inspect the property for compliance. If the property is still in violation, DGS will schedule a cleanup of the property and the owner will be billed. Please note that due to the high volume, these requests may take up to two weeks or more for DGS to clean.

DGS this is untrue. There is NO 10 DAY WAITING PERIOD when a property has been fined previously. Update codes when they change rather than continuing to post the same inaccurate information. The 10 days applies only to those who've never been posted previously. Your commissioner will confirm this for you.

Why do you have to wait ten days when this property is chronically in violation?

There is not a 10-day wait for chronic violators. As soon as a property has been posted for a prior violation they can be fined immediately on subsequent violations. It does not appear dgs staff are informed of the change now in efect regarding the 10-day notice. They need to stop posting on seeclick fix making it appear that every property, regardless of past violations, receives a 10-day notice. They do not
