Didn't Troy spend a small fortune installing a high tech system that's supposed to hear gun shots throughout the city and be able to piunpoint their exact location?

I'd love to hear how this costly system is being used and the limitations of the system. Where are it's boundries?

It obviously cannot detect gunshots over here at 10th street and Rensselaer st. Or maybe it does detect them but the police don't bother coming?

We heard them too around 1130 pm it was gunshots last night - not fire works. 3 identical shots and a pause and then 3 identical shots ...and no sound of a car moving with it...it was very close to peoples /tenth. Very unsettling. Police did come, but no follow up to say what happened...that would be nice.

It's only going to get worse with the warm weather coming. The great thing is I called the City of Troy because their "workers" stole some of our property, which of course they have no record of, and their response was "Well, look at the neighborhood". It's because of that attitude that the people who are trying are stuck in a "neighborhood" like this. Unfortunately, not all of us have the money to move out to a better neighborhood and we are trying to do all we can to make ours better but with no help from any authorities!

troy workers do steal. Look at the DPW guys stipping all the city owned buildings of the copper, aluminum and other metals for scrap! It happens a lot. I have witnessed it personally. Also, Vic Christopher was Troys "economic development coordinator". He was fired for stealing from building materials from the city-owned Dauchy Building... for use in his bar on 12 2nd street.
