Virtually the entire length of this road has been a mess for years. It's an embarrassment. I thought after recent roadwork they would pave over it, but nope, just patched it up. Driving this road is equivalent to off-roading, and sure to mess up your car. It seems cops living on the street want to keep people from driving through, or else I'm sure it would be fixed by now.

The DPW will be sending a crew out to repair potholes along Rice Road.
The process the City follows for this type of project is to do all of the necessary underground utility work first, then completely repave the street in the following year. Rice Road is in need of full-scale sewer line replacement, which we expect to begin this summer. In this way, we avoid having to open up the street for years after we repave it.
