Description
Abutters to the new Farmhouse Lane development have been inundated by flood waters emanating from the development during any degree of steady rain. Both the contractor and the Town of Reading have been made acutely aware of this very damaging problem, but to date have not taken meaningful steps to remediate the problem. We have received “ lip service” at best. Noteworthy to mention, during our 32 year occupancy at 31 Thomas Drive we never experienced or witnessed any evidence of a problem until Farmhouse Lane construction began. I am very disappointed that the Town of Reading has chosen to ostensibly turn its back on this severe problem….no surprise that the contractor MG Hall has been unresponsive. We need help from the town and we need it now….otherwise we’ll commence legal action against the town and contractor.

Thank you for reaching out on this matter. We have also received your email from last night.
Town Staff were in public meetings until 11:30PM last night and/or responding to storm matters throughout the day yesterday. We are having discussions internally about the storm water for these parcels and had staff onsite this morning to do a post-storm inspection. If you would like an onsite meeting with residents and staff, or to come to town hall, or do a remote meeting, we are happy to facilitate that.
