Occasionally clearing the catch basins during the fall months would be a more effective solution versus cutting down trees

Who is going to do the clearing? Seems much more effective to remove a few invasive trees and take care of the primary source of leaves once and for all. The trees are not providing any benefits.

The Town provides a town-wide street cleaning /sweeping during both the spring and fall seasons. Both Town-wide sweeping/cleanings have been completed for this calendar year. The Town also internally cleans the catch basins on a periodic basis. Surface leaf pick-up is generally the homeowner's responsibility and follows the same general rules as sidewalks along /in-front of homes and businesses as it relates to snow clearing etc.. If someone is interested in tree removal, a determination would need to be made if the tree is Public or Private.
