There are still no street lights in the Walsh Boulevard Cul-De-Sac

In addition to the absence of street lights in the Walch Boulevard Cul-De-Sac, most of the street lights along Walch are out, possibly due to copper theives if it isn't the bulbs.

Still, no street lights have been installed in the cup-de-sac of Walch Bvd. As I drive into the cul-de-sac after dark to enter Waterford Square Apartments, I have to put my bright lights on to clearly see pedestrians, especially those wearing dark clothes. At least two sodium vapor street lights should be installed in the cul-de-sac far the safety of Waterford Square residents walking their dogs etc. There is one light that is on the Waterford Square property but it's inadequate.

At least two Sodium Vapor lights need to be installed on each side of the cup-de-sac.

Sooner or later, somebody in dark clothes is going to get hit while walking and/or walking their dog. At least two street lights need to be installed.

Still, at least two sodium vapor lights are needed in the cut-de-sac of Walch Boulevard. The way people drive in this town, I can see it coming. Somebody's gonna get hit sooner or later. I myself drive slowly and cautiously and use my brights when I head into this cut-de-sac after dark. But others are not nearly as cautious as I am.

Why haven't there been any sodium vapor lights installed in the Walch Boulevard cut-de-sac? There needs to be two. They're needed for the safety of people walking after dark.

The Charlotte Department of Transportation investigated this request on May 13, 2016. Street lights cannot be installed in the Walsh Boulevard cul-de-sac since spacing requirements are not met. A request was made to Duke Energy on this same day to repair the streets lights. Customers and residents are encouraged to call Duke Energy at 800-777-9898 to report streets lights out.
