I contacted Dan Losquadro well over a year ago about the condition of Rustic Road, connecting Lake Ronkonkoma to Centereach, and he promptly provided a positive response. I explained that we've owned our home for over twenty years and have yet to see a major improvement in the condition of this main through fair. I was pleased with Dan's response that Rustic Road was scheduled for repaving but for some unknown reason, it never happened. Since then, my family has accrued over $750.00 in damages to our vehicles' (yes, I have receipts) tires and suspensions, yet all we get is weak, loose low quality asphalt repairs that last 1-3 months.
We fully understand the fiscal situation with Brookhaven but this is inexcusable. My children are driving scared and swerving to the wrong side of the road to avoid major 4-8" pothole damage. My neighbors all feel that "Brookhaven Town is Letting Us Down".
