Street paint cannot be applied until temperatures are consistently above 50deg. With this winter the way it's been going that might be sooner than later.

Unfortunately, the crosswalks were not repainted last spring or summer in "23. That's why most of the downtown crosswalks are now worn off and barely visable. Unless you are a Portsmouth resident who drives in the downtown on a regular basis, one would not know there's a crosswalk at that location. Currently, there are remnants of faded paint. This results in drivers not stopping for pedestrians. The crosswalks need to be repainted every year.
