Description
The left turn light on McGregor St/Eddy Road southbound (on to the bridge) is tripping for nobody. Late at night, this signal will sometimes just sit there and service the left turn lane while people wait in all other directions.

Hi again, I just wanted to add some information, because I’ve noticed similar behavior on the solid green for McGregor St as well.
During non-peak hours, it is not uncommon for this signal to sit on green for McGregor St without traffic for extended time. I’m not sure if there is/should be separate programming for peak versus non-peak at this intersection, but outside of peak hours it is fairly common for this signal to just sit on green for no traffic. I’ve observed at least three instances over the past week, where at night, cars were waiting on all other phases, but the light continued to sit on a green NB/SB thru/right phase for 20+ seconds without traffic

Additionally, one of the backplates on an EB/WB signal here blew off.
If possible, can this please be replaced to increase signal visibility, especially during sunrise? It would also be consistent in appearance with the rest of the intersection, which would be great to see more across the city.

It seems like there are still manually extended green cycles causing delay at this location.
Is there any update on the detection repair and/or backplate replacement? It definitely looks silly (and junky) to have missing backplate hardware, inconsistent with every other traffic signal head at this intersection. Consistent backplates matter and reflect on the general appearance of our city. Plus, this is for an EB/WB facing one too, which would be more vulnerable to the blinding sun at certain times of day, which backplates aim to assist with.
I did discuss this intersection specifically (and the other side of the bridge too) with the mayor and traffic committee chair, so hopefully if anything at this intersection is a concern of funding, we can work together to get everything done.
