The writer is talking about the delivery of the "Reminder" weekly newspaper. The delivery people are simply throwing the paper onto the driveway or into the street without attempting to place it in a newspaper tube. Since the Courant seems to have no difficulty in delivering correctly, the Reminder delivery people are simply short cutting. I concur with the writer and suggest that the town formally warn the publisher that the way their product is being delivered is tantamount to littering (for which there are fines).

I noticed that not only in this area, but all over the East Street/Poqunock Avenue area the Reminder News was just tossed all over the road, not even in areas where there were houses/mail boxes. I tried to call them and I got such a run around about trying to report the issue that I finally just had to give up. Their customer service was not helpful and they didn't really even seem to understand why I was calling to make a complaint. It appears that on several days, one or more of their drivers just didn't want to hang the Reminder News on the mailbox post hooks and decided to just toss them all over town.

An inspection done on 3/30/15, found the condition to be improved.
