Description

Sidewalk needs ADA curb cuts on all approaches to the intersection. It is difficult for seniors and people with disabilities to navigate the step.

Q. Under the Seaside Municipal Code and California Streets and Highways Code Section 5610, 5611, and 5612, property owners are responsible for maintaining the sidewalk in front of their property. Any construction in a sidewalk requires an encroachment permit available through the Public Works Department. All work done must be completed by a licensed concrete contractor (Class C-8) or an engineering contractor (Class A). Is the sidewalk in front of a home?
A. No. The sidewalk is at the intersection of two city roads
