Much of Malbone Rd has no sidewalk on either side. This is a main road in the north end of Newport. Cars often do 40 mph on this road where pedestrians are often forced to walk right in the middle due to rain or snow. Apparently the "geniuses" in Public Works feels it is not necessary to put a sidewalk here. The road was recently repaved. Look at these pictures. The sidewalk is not shoveled forcing people on this narrow road to walk in the street with cars whizzing by. Oops, it's not shoveled because THERE IS NO SIDEWALK!
