I am glad that people are bringing their complaints directly to the proper authority (town road = local PD, state road = DOT maintenance District), but be assured that the Valley Region monitors this site with regularity and refers issues to proper authorities for action. We have resolved a number of issues originally raised on this site.
Not all suggestions/concerns posted are legitimate, some result from a misunderstanding of all the factors involved and they may not be resolved to your satisfaction, but they are reviewed and action taken if there is an actual problem. Many complaints require reconstruction of the roadway and can take a few years to get funded and move through design and construction.
Having said the above, you are correct this site is designed to gain advertising revenue and complaints/concerned are best addressed directly to the proper authority.
