Malden Traffic Enforcement will be there in the mornings and afternoons to enforce the city ordinances, thank you.

It is a very dangerous situation, for sure. Maybe what would be even more helpful is for the City of Malden or Malden Police to send out a memo telling parents where they CAN park. Most streets are permit parking only in that section of town.....what is being referred to here in this seeclickfix is a fire lane a (which would need to be enforced due to city ordinances) and the snow is piled up on the one section of roadway that doesn't have fire or permit parking signs. In light of the need to drop off and pick up children....where do parents go?

I've come to believe that no one wants to fix the problems in this city. I saw the cop drive nonchalantly by about six cars parked on the sidewalk. Maybe some video footage of this to the local TV news would force the officer out of his warm car to confront the drivers and have them MOVE. This is ridiculous.

FIRE LANE means nothing to these people.

The Malden DPW will be removing the snow banks on Elm St, Maple St, Dexter St, and Hawthorne Streets tomorrow night. This will help alleviate the traffic congestion and resultant traffic violations, thank you. Malden Traffic Enforcement will be on scene again tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon. I don't believe that the police officers of this city are nonchalant at all, neither do I feel the DPW can be everything to everyone every moment of the day. With limited resources in regards to staffing, budgets and peoples courtesy and patience I feel the Fire Departments, Police, and all City workers (who are more than likely working on no sleep are doing their very best. A solution (which is seems the DPW will be working on this) needs to be made and then patiences, giving them time to do their job and respond to all of the other urgent requests around the city. The Issue with the Bebee location is limited parking on a good day, let alone on the second worst winters in Massachusetts.

I'm tired of people making excuses for Malden officials. Yes, it has been a bad winter. Yes, people have to work hard to deal with it. But, this is their job! I have to do my job or I don't have a job. Where is all the revenue from making residents pay for their trash? Malden has plenty of money, they just don't put it into running the city correctly.

I am not making excuses Mad, I just feel that positive solutions can happen with positive people. The DPW will be working on the Bebee school area so, that is a great thing, right? It also may be their job, but there are only so many bodies that are working. As far as revenue, that is more complicated than that and I am suffering along with you, especially with all of the hikes in utility bills etc., But, when I drive around Malden, I see work that has been done. It did not happen magically or overnight. It would be great to see a thank you once in awhile.....Even in my job, I get that and hopefully you do also. Chin up! Spring is coming :D

I've thanked people for getting jobs done on this site. Some of what I've witnessed, however, has made me somewhat negative regarding the city. I hear you on Spring, though. It can't come soon enough. Then we can all get off the DPW's back!
