It is illegal in the state of Ct. to not recycle,section 30 3/4 local code ordinances-13. There is a warning and then there could be fines for each occurrence.

I called the City. They promised to fine the owner. Nothing has been done. I still am not allowed to use the brown bins. Doesn't the City want us to recycle?

And by the way, LCI says it is NOT a law that we have to recycle. I called them after seeing the comment. So LCI is not helping my cause.

He still won't let me recycle. Street Department was notified but did nothing. LCI said it is not against the law to keep me from recycling. Where do I go from here?

LCI is wrong.All residents of Ct. are supposed to recycle. this is stated on the materials that come with the brown toter. Section 30 3/4 of local ordinances-!3. Recycling p 1 this is under enforcement in the city of new haven codes of ordinances.

My point exactly. So what am I supposed to do? The City is doing nothing, and I have lots to recycle.
