The Malden DPW has crews working every night between the hours of 8:00pm and 6:00am. They are attempting to widen the streets. They use front end loaders and many dump trucks to haul the snow away but the process takes time. Many of the snow banks are so high that running a plow past them doesn't necessarily widen the street. They plows have mechanical limitations as to how high the snow gets plowed vertically. Thank you for your patience and concern during this unprecedented and historical winter snowfall.
