Description

Hyla School on Erickson is currently remodeling existing buildings 1 at a time, as part of remodel underground infrastructure improvements were done on west side of property. These improvements required the partial deconstruction of existing garbage enclosure, removal of roof, damage to some existing siding elements, etc. After speaking with Hyla as to would they bring the enclosure back to pre construction standard or better I was informed by Hyla, specifically Peter Berner Hayes that they would not and plan to "Leave As Is". I cannot understand how the city of BI would allow as conditions of approval the degradation of existing structures or improvements as part of permitted work without those same improvements being restored to pre construction status or better. In this case a roof system over enclosure has been removed, siding damaged etc and left as is. In attached pics you can see large garbage can full of rain water, in this condition for months, now emptied, cans outside enclosure, etc. I look forward to understanding from COBI perspective what the way forward is.
Thank you
