Q. Request/Concern Description
A. I am so happy there is a sign on Highland Avenue headed north that says right lane must turn right. This is a very dangerous intersection as people line up in the left lane at stop lights and people shoot around them on the right to bypass them when the light turns green, whether or not they are turning. The problem is when southbound traffic tries to turn and cross in front of them. I have personally encountered many near misses. Thank you so much for putting the sign up. However, it is way too far back for anyone to associated with this actual lane. Why can it not be moved to the next furthest street pole, further north of its current location? I understand it is not feasible to maintain the right arrow painted on the road because of weather reasons but right now, if you didn't know to look for the sign, one almost would not see it. Thank you for your feedback and I remain hopeful that the sign can be moved to a more visible position on an existing pole.

I am delighted to see that there is a sign heading north on Highland Avenue by Medford St that's states: right lane must turn right. I understand that painting the road with the arrow wears off quickly.
However, I feel that the sign is significantly too far to the south for people to identify it with this turn. there is an existing telephone pole or utility pole further up much closer to the turn. Would it be possible to have the sign or another sign put in this more prominent area?
This is a very dangerous intersection with people using the right lane to race past people in the left lane once the light turns green. With oncoming traffic turning onto Medford Street from the southbound lane, I have witnessed many near accidents.

Hello,
The sign is still way too far back. A secondary sign needs to be placed on the northern telephone pole or perhaps moving the existing sign closer to the actual intersection would help. Thank you for your consideration.
