The light at the intersection of Leland / Wilson changes very quickly from green / yellow /red. I could be walking across the street with my son while it's green and it changes yellow/red by the time I cross it. The oncoming traffic gets an immediate green. Can the transitions be longer? I'm not sure how normal lights work, but this particular light seems to move very quickly. Would be nice to get pedestrian path painted as well and hand signals at the light. It's a busy intersection and sometimes the actually light is unnoticed because the light posts are short and don't really stand out. Perhaps an overall makeover for this intersection?

Excellent observations, Amy. Leland & Sheridan is one of the intersections that will be remade via Leland Greenway, one of the projects launched through participatory budgeting in 2013: http://chi.streetsblog.org/2014/06/03/leland-greenway-will-debut-traffic-diverters-bikeable-speed-humps/#more-94089
Hope to hear a full update on the plan soon!
