There is no modern concrete sidewalk here and no curb, so there is no line where the street ends and sidewalk begins and this is a heavily walked area owing to the three nearby schools. Maybe it’s a drainage issue. To be fair it’s professional work. (And besides we’re not the resource-starved French who need asphalt sidewalks)
