    Two MBTA Watertown 71 busses were going 25-30 mph in the Mount Auburn school zone this morning at around 8:40am. I tried to contact the MBTA but their webform “select a complaint” drop down is not functioning. I didn’t have time while in traffic to report this.
    This is a school zone, no? EVERYBODY DISREGARDS THE 20 mph flashing lights.

    The northbound lane of Common St. from the rotary at Orchard St. to Bellevue Rd. and maybe beyond has over-built ~ 4’ x 4’ asphalt humps every 10 feet that patched the work holes. They are too thick not to damage your car. To straddle them puts you in the bike lane.

    The Shops at Putterham always have a full parking lot so they must do enormous business and pay a ton of taxes, so the city should be able to fully integrate this mall into the community by completing the sidewalk where the loading zone got bricked over.

    Some kid (probably) wanting for instruction in right and wrong has been periodically littering glossy football trading/bubblegum cards in a radius of who knows how many blocks over the span of months. A pack wrapper here, a handful of discarded cards there, but mostly single cards being cast without a care as they walk to and from one of the schools in the area I imagine, but who knows.

    Pot-hole. Big-time. Big-time! On Adams Ave. catches passenger side when turning right on Mt. Auburn.

    The two northeast lanes of Mt. Auburn effectively turn into one lane at Taylor because of in-lane parking spaces and the old no parking fire plug area created a way for the right lane to negotiate partially merging left around the parked cars, NOW there are cars pulled over at the fire plug and behind it causing a full obstruction of right lane traffic.

    Look, we all need to be somewhere. Just because I’m waiting doesn’t mean I’ indecisive, unsure, or lack aggression - I am following the rules of the road and waiting for the privileged vehicle , the vehicle with the right of way to go.

    This in a major school route with children crossing and recklessly darting about on their bikes this is no place for a break down in civil order!

    With regards to the huge new lab complex and new northbound bus lane on Galen St.:

    1. Are MBTA busses even going to be able to turn right into the terminal stop while staying in the bus lane given the new smaller curb / sidewalk / road architecture? Won’t the busses turning right need to make a farmer’s turn and use some of the lane to their left to clear the curb and it’s bumper to bumper when I’m headed home from work. Is that why the new, yet to be used bus lane is blocked by traffic cones?

    Also, people are starting to block the box again at both sides of the bridge-not frequently yet, but before the pandemic there was a policeman directing traffic south of the bridge.
