What is the timeline for getting this resolved? Also, there is starting to be a lot of trash being left there overnight by the homeless, who are creating encampments and using the park as there restroom, even during the day!
Center lines will be painted once paving on Eastern Ave is complete.
As far as the homeless encampments and using the park as a restroom - please reach out to Gloucester Police 978-283-1212 as they are the enforcing agents.
Ok, I'm glad the center lines will be painted and we will reach out to the police.
What about fixing Gordon Thomas's park lights? That has been a click fix for years. That park gets used by many tourists and people in Gloucester for dog walking and a nice place to view the harbor. It can be a little sketchy passing through at night, especially when the homeless are camping out there.
Please fix the lights!
I held off on answering the light piece because I had to verify the information. This is an underground issue that has been reported to National Grid on numerous occasions. We are currently working with them to get the lights restored.
Painting the lines on the newly paved road is all fine and well, but what about the rest of Eastern Ave? On the other side of the lights going towards Main St??
What is the status of communicating to National Grid about the lights in Gordon Thomas/Head of Harbor Park??
Have called the Gloucester Police about the Homeless (who are definitely camping out and congregating more there) and they seem to be turning a blind eye to the issue.
LIGHTS would make evenings safer for people to pass through and by the strangers and peeing people in the evening. With all the work being done around the city, one would think making one of our parks safer would be a priority.
As stated previously this has been reported to National Grid on numerous occasions, and it is in que along with the other underground issues around town.
