Description

Both 25MPH speed signs going Westbound on Monument Drive from Six Forks to Old Lead Mine are obscured by foliage until you just about pass them. I’m giving motorists the benefit of the doubt that they don’t know the speed limit because they can’t see the signs and that is why they regularly rev their engines to fly down this road. I walk this road regularly, multiple times a day and it’s clear that motorists use the road as a cut through to and from Six Forks. My guess is to avoid the stop light and congestion at the next intersection north at SixForks/Forum Drive. Monument Lane could really use some speed tables as well, to help regulate the speed.
