We live on Mead St & can confirm that this has been a chronic & dangerous problem. Twice this week when I was trying to exit Mead onto Walden, sightlines were blocked by the illegally parked cars, making it impossible to check for traffic before edging out far enough to see. Yesterday afternoon this happened again, and there was what appeared to be a police detail due to some utility (guessing) work on other side of Walden--they were looking at their phones as one near-accident after another materialized, as people wanted to turn onto Mead as I was trying to exit, and had no way to move to get out of their way or ck for traffic, etc.

Yes! Yesterday there was a car parked illegally in the tow zone - a work truck obstructing the hydrant on the corner of Mead and Walden and another truck blocking the driveway at the opposite corner - you woukd think , the officer woukd at keast ticket tgese people .

During normal business hours, this should be reported to the Traffic Dept. by phone at 617-349-4700. If after hours, please call the Police Non-Emergency Line at 617-349-3300.

During normal business hours it IS reported to the traffic dept and the non emergency line - and nothing is done about it - much like you as you have now closed the request ?!!! The issue needs a revision , you expect people to read and understand three signs when in reality they never do . I don’t understand why it cannot be revised to the previous signage that definitely got the drivers attention not to park there - an emergency vehicle cannot make that corner when cars violate the tow zone law - in a true emergency there have been times when fire and ambulance could not get down the street ! In the future be prepared to be sued if you take no steps to correct this

Your report was forwarded to Traffic Engineering to examine sign placement at the location however the immediate need is enforcement so please continue to call in violations.

It's been reported to Traffic that this is a problem every day. Please also forward this to Enforcement Division if that division still exists. A citation or two may persuade the violators to park elsewhere until Engineering gets around to resolving this problem.
