You are correct and we are aware of the paving needed in this subdivision. We will be able to schedule the work when sufficient funds have been collected/ allocated. At this time I cannot provide an anticipated date of when this may be done. Thanks for your comments.

Doesn't the city require the builder to post a bond to complete the roads before they begin building?

Yes. However in the case for these streets, due to the collapse of the housing market, many developers walked away from their obligations; many had submitted letters of credit from banks that went insolvent; others did not renew bonds for various reasons leaving a situation where the City did not have the funds to complete the streets. At the present, we are collecting a fee per building permit issued adjacent to these streets and at such time we have collected sufficient funds, we will complete the streets. We will maintain the binder course as best we can and certainly appreciate your patience. I hope to be able to pave several of these streets this spring.
