The house was purchased in August 2011 by Manuel Dominguez, according to the tax record. We are seeing activity at the house (reconstruction), which is very reassuring. It's difficult to know how quickly the house will be recovered but we're ready to close this issue now that someone's actively working to fix the blighted property.

There has been no change to this house since the last post. The house should be condemned and either torn down or rebuilt. We hoped that the new owner would take some action, but at this point we've run out of patience. I will be calling code enforcement regularly to follow up on the case number for this property. We have seen rats and other vermin running in and out of the house and we know that the roof has a giant hole so the home has been open to the elements for quite a long time.

It's needs to be torn down..or redone ASAP! It is not safe and I feel that the community is improving and this is a disgrace that its still

This is a current photo of the property at 2657 Rollingwood Ln SE 30316. The tarp originally covering the roof 2 years ago is tattered and destroyed. Yes, this house has been sitting destroyed for over TWO YEARS! The new owner and the county have done nothing to fix it. We will call code enforcement again and again but eventually will turn to local news outlets until some action is taken.

I spoke with Officer Ross last Thursday, December 13. She informed me that the assistant DA is on this case, there is a lien on the house, and it's a candidate for demolition. I will call back again on December 27, two weeks from my last call to the county.

This is just ridiculous. Shameful and irresponsible....wow.

My wife spoke with an officer at the home today whom delivered a summons (taped to the "door" of the home). The owners have 60 days until the city tears the building down and delivers some hefty fines.

This home remains. It's received at least two code violations in 5 years, that we're aware of, and we have been in contact with the police and county code office. The home has a lien, the owners have been a no show at court twice, and they have changed ownership once since buying it after it burned down in 2010. We're on the verge of calling the news and a lawyer.

Gresham Park is a great neighborhood and could be better. Unfortunately, houses like this one are the reason that it is taking so long to see real improvements. Its a shame that the county has declared this house as a tear down, and yet it still stands. Nobody wants to live in a neighborhood with a house like this next door...

Unfortunately it was too little too late for us. It sapped our equity when we sold -- we have enough for a lawsuit, in fact. We worked incredibly hard to get this resolved before we moved. I'm glad it's happening, finally, for those who remain in the neighborhood and I sincerely hope everyone works together in the future to fight the bad and favor the good. Good luck Gresham Park!
