Resubmit this issue and make sure the red marker is on the other side of Zierdt Road, it never got assigned to any city department because that side of Zierdt Road is showing up as being in unincorporated Madison County on the map and they do not use SeeClickFix software.

COH_Citizen, OK got it. Appreciate the info. Question. By that "side of Zierdt" do you mean the part south of Martin or literally one side of the road is in unincorporated Madison County and the other is in the City Of Huntsville (COH)?

If you look the marked location on the map for this issue you will see darker areas and lighter areas, the darker areas on the map are the city limits and the lighter areas are unincorporated Madison County. When you are in the process of submitting a report you should see red lines on the map, the marker has to be inside those red city limits lines for these reports to automatically get assigned to a city department, if a report is automatically assigned to the incorrect department they will reassign it to the correct one. This one never got assigned to any department because it wasn't seen by the city since it is marked outside the city limits line.

This isn't a deadly corner aslong as u are paying attention while driving and doing the speed limit. What needs to happen is HPD or ALEA needs to do radar up and down Zeirdt all the way to Beadle Lane or as far can go. Will help with all the traffic complaints a lil bit if people would slow down. But if ur going 60 or 70 mph in the curves yes u can't take it sharp and get close to the edge.

Yes, the curve is dangerous but until you pass an 18 wheeler or a cement truck on this curve you don't fully understand the issue. Driving this curve at night is dangerous no matter what speed you're going. The north bound lane is full of pot holes as you head up the hill to the curve. There should be more reflectors added to both the center and outer lane markers. The lines are fading and the shoulder is very low. Can the city please give us the plan for making this curve safe?

TY76, I absolutely agree! Large vehicles (including school busses) use both lanes and run oncoming traffic off the shoulder. Travel speed is an issue, but the roadway design is a paramountly bigger problem with the increased traffic now on Zierdt Road.

Lower speed limit to 40, paint lines and add reflectors. Add curve signage.
