Mr Hermiteowitch...you obviously have nothing better to do than make comments on any of the articles on PANOW or this SeeClickFix site. larry clark just made a comment about a semi crossing the bridge. and that there was not a police car there watching. i wonder if you use the diefenbaker bridge at all? i think that most ppl who have to use the bridge everyday do know about the weight restrictions and the extra time it takes to get to work, school on time. have you ever been in the lineup of cars at 8am? they are backed up to the road to the dump at that time...been there...so if you have nothing nice to say to ppl dont say nothing at all!!! sick of your rude comments!! you dont know everything!!
Well, I'm left to wonder what action Larry is expecting to be taken by waiting a WHOLE DAY and then posting the complaint on this site... Are YOU going to do something about it? Are YOU going to phone the police on Larry's behalf? did anyone bother (larry) to take a plate? NO.
Probably went to the office to use the washroom. It seems if the cops urinate at the bridge the citizens of PA complain. If the cops leave to use the washroom, the citizens of PA complain. Maybe the cop got pulled off the bridge to assist in a call. I have never seen a bigger group of whiners in this city when it comes to the police.
Here's something to think about. The weight restriction on the bridge is 30000 lbs. So if two semi trucks empty at 29999 lbs meet isn't that over the weight limit??????
I see people complaining about police sitting by the bridge,Saying they are wasting taxpayers money and now they complain that they are not sitting there, Maybe the officer was called to an accident or crime where he was the closest unit to respond, Quit complaining, Nobody likes a Tattletail.
The police are located at the bridge to deter any individuals from traveling across with loads that are restricted ie. weight. They are tasked with sitting there all day. Like some people had stated earlier, maybe the officer had to use the washroom or maybe there was a pressing matter that needed an extra officer. We as the public don't know. All I know is that if I am in trouble and that extra officer can assist me, I would rather have him/her assisting his/her fellow officers and me than sitting at the bridge waiting for a potentially overweight vehicle.
Well, It's good to see logic and common sense aren't dead in this city...there's some hope after all..
Bottom line is, the bridge will be fixed, whether or not people complain, although thank god for sharp eyed canoeists! The cops will sit at the bridge when they can, and whenever they can, whether or not anyone complains.
I, however, am really beginning to get annoyed at all the police bashing that goes on on this site, and on the parent site. The police are there to protect YOU, from the criminals. They know who they are, they know where they are and are trained for EVERY situation. Certified professional drivers, exempt from cellphone bylaws. Let them do their job, and GET OUT OF THEIR WAY! BTW, if you are at an intersection, blocked left and right at a red light and an ambulance comes up behind you, you are obligated to run that red light. Oh yeah....there are cameras ALL OVER this city..
maybe next take a plste number and reported it......don't come on here and complain about it....the officer(s) may have been called away to something more important being that was a busy weekend for them.....
Wow the PA cops cannot seem to please anyone. If a cop stays at his post but releives himself he is lamblasted by the see click fix crowd but if he leaves his post (maybe to releive himself or maybe to do something more pressing like help out at an accident or defuse a potentially violent domestic dispute) he is for a round of trashing by the see click fix crowd. Meanwile there must be a convoys of trucks hiding in the trees waiting for that poor cop to be distracted so they can make a run for the bridge. othewise I cannot see why this is an issue. One truck got across, yes he deserves to get a ticket but he never put anyones life in danger and the world as we know it will not come to an end because one truck crossed the bridge. So lay off the poor cop who was unlucky enough to draw what is probibly the most boring duty on the city police agenda. Instead next time you pass the cop car at the brige give a little honk and show him or her a thumbs up as a thank you for the job he/she and his/her fellow officers do for this city. Remember all that stands in the way of total caos is a few good men and women who have dedicated their lives to serve and protect their fellow citizens. They deserve better than they get around here.
Good Morning to all, The police are doing their best as well for concerned individuals of PA and country side. If people are complaining maybe they should offer their time and many hours of baby sitting truck drivers who want to ignore weight restrictions.
If the bridge were to ever go out, PA will find that money will go else were to bye food and all the extras.
To Mr. Hermit---- enjoy your life and or get one. Comlaining doesn't get anyone anywhere. People like you are the problem not the police or the city.
No one has gotten hurt over the bridge due to the" big crack". If it crashed into the river we would have to morn about loss of lives rather then seeing police counting care, trucks, busses and anything else that goes bye the bridge.
We should all slow down and put our cell phones away till it's safe.
It is almost Christmas, listen to your prayers not your wimpers.
Have a great day out there in Indian country my neibours.
