The cycle on the new lights at Hancock and Hannon parkway is too long. It is causing backups onto the Burgin Parkway and drivers make dangerous maneuvers to get through the blocked intersection. I live nearby and this new set of lights is always trouble and backups no matter what direction I'm going.

Yes, I agree. But I must say that the map on this page is way off. It does not show the place in question at all. I know the City does not have control of this system yet, from Chris. However, when I asked when I received no reply. I'd like to know when the City will own this system so we all can rest assured that this condition, which is dangerous to public safety, will abate.
Thanks for your citation, it reminded me of what we all know and look forward to changing immediately, if not yesterday.

We are aware of the timing issues currently occurring along Hancock, Burgin and the Hannon Parkway. The road is still under the jurisdiction of the State. Once we get control of the road, we are going to make several changes in timing to help improve traffic flow. At present we are monitoring these areas to get information that will help us in that process.
Sincerely,
Chris from the Mayor's Office

Hawkeye and others,
I've received word that the timing changes will be completed within the next 2-3 weeks. Our traffic engineer was performing a usage study upon which to base the timing changes, and that process is coming to completion soon.
I hope this information helps.

Chris I'm pleased to tell everyone I meet about this system. Thanks for the reminder. I will post an invitation on The Montclair bulletin borad and consider the same at The Kennedy Center's Computer Center and more!
I don't have one, but prehaps this system can get an App for mobile phones, too! : )
Happy Holidays!
