Description

The issue is the Northwest corner of haines road and 22nd street.

Over the course of the weekend there have been 6 vehicles (that I have heard) that have blown the intersection heading west bound on Haines road and the cross street of 22nd street. The drivers pop up over the curb and end up over the median going into oncoming traffic. There were 2 do not enter signs but a van Friday morning but a van took one sign down when it was foggy and visibilty was minimal causing it to go over the curb roughly around 640am. Friday evening there were two cars back to back within 10 minutes of each other. One drove off and the second one that happened minutes after blew out it's tires and caused enough damage to require a tow. Early saturday morning roughly 1230am a blue dodge charger went up and over the curb requiring a tow. Police did respond to the scene. Sunday evening around 6:45 a white van went over the curb and continued to drive the wrong way on the one way road. Minutes after a black SUV ended up on the curb.

There needs to be something more than just signs. We need flashing lights to bring attention to the intersection.

Also, there are numerous vehicles that take Haines road east bound through this intersection at a very high rate of speed 50 mph+. There has been numerous times I've heard cars flying past my house all times of the day. There are children in the area too and this is a danger to not only them but to the property of everyone near this intersection.
