I think this is a great idea. My son and I often ride bicycles to school, and getting to the bike racks behind the school building next to the compost bins currently requires us to ride on the sidewalk against students walking to school, creating unnecessary congestion.

Great idea, please consider this.

Please do this - there is no good way to get a cargo bike from Yerxa road to the blacktop area behind the school (where my kids are dropped off and picked up)!

A gate or opening at this location would benefit everyone needing easier access to the school. For children and parents arriving by bicycle, they must ride or walk the bicycle on the narrow sidewalk as they try to share with other pedestrians.

I'm the guy who hauls a wooden ramp on my cargobike to help get the kids on our weekly Bike Bus ride up on the curb where the only existing break in the fenceline is. Please spare me this chore in the future by putting in a new entrance point! And facilitating us crossing with biking kids at an existing marked hi-viz crosswalk would be safer too.

It would be so helpful to have an opening here! Currently bikes either have to use a busy sidewalk or a busy road.
