Description
There are a number of people camping under the Lake Merritt Blvd bridges (closest street address 1224 Lakeshore.) When I went buy 12/31 one of the campers had a fire in a bbq grill. It was sparking pretty good. These people have been here on and off for weeks but now there are at least half a dozen groups.

Today is 2/23/15 and the encampment is still present and has been growing. (I am not sure what is going on in Oakland since Libby became mayor, did everyone go on vacation?)
Well, here are some photos to remind everyone that the camp has not gone away and has not been dealt with.

A photo of the other side as well.
I wanted to note that these are not the only incidents of the homeless situation getting out of control. The other day, Friday, at 1pm there was a bum sleeping on the sidewalk at 20th and Harrison (right in front of the Kaiser building.) Full out sleeping with cart and sleeping bag. This past Sunday over at 51st and Telegraph at 11:30am the same thing. Over on 13th and Webster there is a huge graffiti mural that must be 75' long and 7 feet high and wraps around two sides of the building. (it must have taken hours to do.)
