I did cqall to report. I was told the details would be "given to a supervisor" but "we can't promise when or if the issue will be addressed". It gave me the warm fuzzies all over. I felt like I was truly respected as a tax payer and I was talking to the right person who would make sure this dangerous situation was addressed! REALLY! And I have an igloo in Hades Id like to sell you, too!

Eric: We understand your frustration. Please understand, though, that it's the same people who drive the snow plows, clean out the clogged storm drains, clean up the downed trees, etc., etc., etc. As you might guess, they've been extremely busy this week. While the potholes you reported are certainly important, we cannot stop salting, resolving flooded roads and other emergency operations to repair them. We will truly get to them as quickly as we can, recognizing we must prioritize the service requests we receive the tasks we must do.

If it wasn't the plow that caused the problem, I would certainly agree with you.

The fact that it was your plow that caused the problem and I get a similar response to yours regardless of the method used to report the problem to me is indicative of an organization that has forgotten WE the homeowners and tax payers, pay YOUR salary. Unfortunately we have no recourse but to wade through your bureaucracy and suffer through the lackluster performance.

The roads in and around the Montclair subdivision have NEVER been in worse shape and they continue to degrade under the "ownership" of the Oakland County Road Comission.

The majority of the time I see your trucks they are parked on the side of the road with 1-2 people sitting in them, lights on and motors running, burning gasoline and not driving. Im sure its a thankless job but I would also love to see your entire organization thoroughly investigated for fraud and waste.

Thanks for causing further damage to our cars, lowering our property values and increasing our disgust (not frustration) with the Oakland County Road Commission.

Bone jarring potholes, 100's of yards of washboard, ahh its another spring living on Waldon road. Its dried up enough to hold a grade. Please grade the road.

In May of 2002 we were told Waldon between Baldwin and Clintonville was "on the 10 yr MDOT plan to be paved".

Its now 13 years later. When will Waldon be paved?

Waldon washboard is back. Its now 14 years into the 10 year plan we were told Waldon was on in 2002 when we moved into this sub to have Waldon paved. Every year we get more and more traffic as more subdivisions are built. Im sure the two new subs on Waldon East of Sashabaw are only going to add more heavy construction traffic and cars from new residents. When will Waldon be paved?

Eric: There is no MDOT plan for paving county roads, and the Road Commission does not a have a 10-year plan for Waldon. Unfortunately, this section of Waldon is not on the Road Commission's 30-year gravel-road paving plan. We do not receive any revenue when new subdivisions are built. We receive only enough funding to pave one mile of gravel road each year. We currently have 760 miles of gravel roads in Oakland County under Road Commission jurisdiction. The top priority roads for paving are including in our 30-year plan, which is compiled based on input from the community leaders. Waldon east of Baldwin is included on the list, though no funding has been identified, and there no schedule or estimate for when it might be paved.

If a realtor told you Waldon would be paved in 10 years, they were mistaken. The Road Commission has never indicated there was a 10 year plan for Waldon. In fact, we tell people that if the road is gravel when you move in, assume it is likely to stay gravel.

The ROAD COMISSION told us it was on a "10 year plan" in 2003. The ROAD COMISSION told us it was on the "30 year plan" in 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Now the ROAD COMISSION is telling us it is NOT on the "30 year plan" 08/Feb/2016. I want to see this "30 year plan". Where is it posted and maintained? Who do we need to address to have Waldon between Baldwin and Clintonville restored to the "30 year plan"?

Well... thats ANOTHER change. I have spoken with multiple Road Comissions resources over the years. Back in 2003-2004 we were told there WAS a 10 year plan. Shortly thereafter we were told it had been changed to a 30 year plan and that Waldon was on it. We even have a post on one of the SeeClickFix threads about Waldon that also stated there was a 30yr plan and that Waldon was on it. Now you are telling us it has been removed form it. Great. Waldon EAST of Baldwin is NOT GRAVEL. Waldon East of Baldwin all the way to Lapeer is paved. If you have Waldon EAST of Baldwin on your 30 year Gravel paving plan it should be removed and Waldon WEST of Baldwin to Clintonville should replace it. Where is this 30yr plan posted? I would like to see and track this plan. Who do I need to speak with to get a copy of the plan? I intend to make it public. If I cannot get it freely I intend to submit a FOIA request to get it. It has been created (and maintained?) with taxpayer dollars and MUST be made available upon public request.

This issue has been open for over 3400 days. Waldon was claimed to be “on the 10 year plan” for at least 3 years before this was opened in 2011. It is regularly allowed to get wheel damaging potholes (I replaced 3 wheels in my Mini Cooper last winter alone). The trees on each side in many places are dangerously close to the roadway. All the roads leading to Waldon between Baldwin & Clintonville have all. Even repaved at least once over the last 20 years with Waldon between Clintonville and Sashabaw being repaved 3 times in that period. PLEASE pave the road!

They can repave Waldon East of Baldwin for the 3rd time in 15 years and repave Waldon West of Clintonville for the 3rd time in 15 years but they cant pave between Baldwin & Clintonville. So tired of the lack of maintenance on this road.
