Right Turn pocket - WB Waterworks to NB Sand Canyon; The City of Irvine has painted the bike lane on the right edge of the right turn only lane, leading bicyclists to go straight on Barranca, or worse, turn left on Sand Canyon from the right curb lane. Bike lane should be dashed out BEFORE the right turn only lane begins, and / or extend between the split left & right turn lanes to facilitate bicyclists going straight. Bikes turning right can use the right turn only lane as any vehicle. Bikes going straight should NOT be mislead into using the right turn only lane.
