Description
It should not take 30 minutes to go from Mr Mikes to Original Joe's. Traffic flow is brutal in Grande Prairie. Lights aren't sequence for flow, turning arrows are either too short or not turned on, turning lanes are way too short so cars turning left overflow into the straight thru lane. Traffic in this town of 65,000 moves like a City of 800,000. We have some serious infrastructure transportation issues here, that even if you start today, will take years to sort out.

Thank you for your comment, as you may or may not know, the traffic light system along the By-Pass (Mr. Mike's to Staples) is under the jurisdiction of Alberta Transportation. We are currently in the process of working with the Province to improve the coordination of the light to better serve the public. This City maintains an internal population of approximately 65,000 however the by-pass also service vehicles from our neighbouring cities and towns.
Please bear with us as we collaborate with the province with regards to coordinating their signal timings so that we would be able to coordinate the major arterial that connects to the by-pass efficiently.
