I have petitioned to the town many times to put a 3 way stop sign at Zavra Street. I had all neighbors sign the petition. The speeding and excessive traffic is crazy on Sycamore Avenue, Bohemia. I can not safely leave my children at the bus stop and I can not make a left hand turn out of Zavra without having to wait for 15 - 25 cars to pass early in the AM 7 - 9 am and from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Sycamore Avenue is NOT a highway. Side streets on the way to the high school have stop signs. Why not Sycamore; where there is an elementary school? No, I don't want a stop sign at Hubal. I want a 3 way stop sign at Zavra. A stop sign at Hubal will only cause the cars to reach speeds of 40 - 45 mph by the time they reach Zavra. UNACCEPTABLE.

It is completely unsafe for all the children who live in the area.
It is a hazard to pull out of my street and make a left from Zavra onto Sycamore Avenue.
The town of Islip needs to put stop signs at every corner AND put sidewalks in on the entire length of Sycamore Avenue from Sunrise Hwy Service Road to Vets Highway
