South side of park is very dark
Need more lighting for people who walk and play on the park

Must be nice to get a response in less than minutes no response to my issue in over 6 hours

Your concern was directed to the Parks & Recreation Department. They are in charge of all the lighting inside the public parks. I am responsible for all the roadway illumination inside the city limits, but I will make sure your concern is received with the Parks Department. Thank you

Well this issue has been ongoing for over a year the potato gets passed around and nothing ever gets done. The city continues add to our parks but y'all never improve the lighting . It's a CITY not a department issue the safety and well being of taxpaying citizens needs to put in the front of other issues.

We will have our Parks staff take a look at this area of concern and provide an update shortly after.

I'll be waiting for a response from the city hopefully it won't take a lifetime to get something done, since we are in the older part of Edinburg and are always neglected by our city. Unless they need votes

Our staff have identified the poles that are out. We are now going to submit a work order to the service provider. The service provider will take over the process from there. I can also inform you that the city of Edinburg was awarded a grant that will enhance the Cenizo Park trail. This grant will be used in part to install and enhance the lighting around the Cenizo Park Trail.

Thank you , the grant is for lighting the hike and bike trail with solar lights, it does say anything about lights in the park. I'll be waiting on the lights to be fixed hopefully it won't take too long or worst case someone getting hurt due to the lack of lighting
