A. (Also reported to Madison Police). A huge section of sidewalk and part of the road is covered with thick ice from around 14 Elm to the townhouses at 18 Elm. It is impassable and treacherous for pedestrians, who must walk down the middle of the road. (Note: This has been a problem every winter for several years, and it is caused by a water leak or drip up the driveway between 14 and 16 Elm.) This is urgent and cannot be addressed with the usual "property owner has been notified." The sidewalk should be closed and a safe route for pedestrians should be provided.
